Nick and I recently took on a couple of remodeling projects. Originally we were only planning on updating our master bathroom, but we ended up doing a bit more. I was searching for counter tops in the spring, and we got such a great deal on granite that we ended up doing the kitchen and both bathrooms.
This is what our kitchen looked like before any updates:
Here is what it looks like now:
We painted in the hallway bathroom and changed the counter top and fixtures.
We have never liked our master bathroom, but we were planning on waiting another year to do anything about it. However, we noticed our shower door was practically falling off and water was leaking onto the walls and floor. After further inspection, Nick found mold starting on the inside of the wall. A little over a week ago Nick demolished the shower, all of the "beautiful" cultured marble surroundings, and flooring.
This is the shower and tub with the original pinkish-brown paint. The picture of the counter top is after we painted it a color called "paper lantern."
Here is what our bathroom looks like now. Nick really worked hard! There are still a few things to complete, such as installing fixtures and cleaning up a little.
Let's not forget about Nick installing the toilet. He accidentally tightened a bolt too tight and cracked the tank all the way across. So, here is our new toilet...and Nick installed that one magnificently!
And finally...
Nick completed this project without harming any of his fingers!

Seriously?!? You guys are awesome! I got all sad that I could see you on your crutches in the background of one of those pictures. :( How are you feeling? Let me tell you, the kitchen and bathrooms look amazing! Very impressed with your mad HGTV skills.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I didn't realize my reflection was in that mirror until Nick pointed it out to me. Don't be sad, I can actually get around pretty well on those bad boys! Also, I can't take all of the credit...I was the brains, Nick was the brawn on the bathroom project. I'm just glad it's finally finished! Hopefully you, Kevin, and Baby are doing well. :)
