New York, New York

Last minute trips are the best! When Nick and I found out our Japanese friend Keisuke was staying in New York City for a couple of months, we sporadically decided to visit him over the long weekend for Presidents' Day. We spent our time experiencing the fresh, crisp winter weather, catching up with an old friend, and touring the many sites New York City has to offer.

Day 1 Sites:

  • World Trade Center
  • Times Square
  • Rockefeller Center
  • 5th Avenue
  • Central Park
  • Columbia University
  • Tom's Restaurant (from Seinfeld)

Day 2 Sites:
  • Statue of Liberty
  • Ellis Island
  • SoHo Shopping District
  • Times Square at Night

Unfortunately, Lady Liberty was closed for tours due to current renovations. We stood in line to get tickets, to go through security, and to board the ferry. So, on the bright side, we didn't have to stand in line to go inside the statue. Plus, the views of New York City from Liberty Island/Ellis Island were pretty nice.
